How Long Do I have to Return an Item to Family Dollar?
We want you to be fully satisfied with every item that you purchase. If you are not satisfied with an item that you have purchased, you may return the item within 30 days of the original purchase date to any of our stores with a valid receipt.
Does Family Dollar Accept Returns Without a Receipt?
Yes, Family Dollar does accept returns without a receipt. However, all returns are subject to a pre-authorization process, and a valid ID may be required.
Does Family Dollar offer full refunds?
At this time, FD does not offer full refunds on any merchandise. We will gladly exchange or refund your purchase price, less the cost of shipping, on any unworn, unopened, or defective merchandise within 30 days of receipt (see below for exceptions).
Can I return an Item to Family Dollar without the box or original package?
We want you to be satisfied with the merchandise that you purchase from us. We also understand that, for one reason or another, there are times when items must be returned. To expedite the return process and ensure a refund is issued without delay, we ask that you follow these simple steps:
- Return the item with your original receipt whenever possible.
- If you do not have your original receipt, please return the item with a photo ID.
- Please note that some items are ineligible for return, including clearance items, personal care items, food and beverages, and electronics.
- All items must be in their original packaging and in new or like-new condition to be eligible for return.
How will I be refunded by Family Dollar?
There are several ways that you can be refunded by Family Dollar. If you paid for your purchase with a credit or debit card, the refund will be applied to that card. If you paid with cash, you will be refunded in the form of store credit. If you paid with a check, the refund will be issued in the form of a store credit 10 days after the check has cleared.
How Long do Family Dollar refunds take?
Depending on your bank or credit card company, it may take 3-5 business days for the refund to appear on your statement. If you used a debit or credit card, you will also see a pending transaction for the refund amount in your account within 3 business days.
Can you return an online purchase to the Family Dollar store?
Products purchased online through FamilyDollar.com can be returned to any Family Dollar store within 30 days of the date of purchase, provided that you have the original store receipt or packing slip, and the credit card used to make the purchase.
