What’s Total Wine’s Return Policy?
You may return merchandise purchased from Total Wine & More within 90 days of purchase, with the following exceptions:
- Perishable items may not be returned.
- Product(s) damaged as a result of customer misuse may not be returned.
- Product(s) must be in their original packaging.
- Gift cards, eGift Cards, and wine club memberships cannot be returned or refunded.
How Long Do I have to Return an Item to Total Wine?
If you’re not completely satisfied with a purchase from Total Wine & More, we will gladly accept your return within 60 days from the date of purchase with the following exceptions. Items must be in their original purchase condition, including the original packaging, containers, documentation, and accessories.
We cannot accept returns of certain items, including:
- Special order items
- Items damaged due to external causes
- Items with a missing or altered serial number
- Opened computer software, music, movies, and games
Does Total Wine Accept Returns Without a Receipt?
You may return merchandise without a receipt for store credit. Returns for cash or credit card refunds will require a valid ID.
In the event that you present a check as payment for your purchase and it is returned unpaid by the bank, you will be required to pay the amount of the check, plus any fees incurred by us, before you will be allowed to make any future purchases using personal checks.
Does Total Wine offer full refunds?
Total Wine does offer full refunds for items that are returned within 30 days of the purchase date. If you purchased an item online, you will have to return it to a store location in order to receive a refund. For items that are returned after 30 days, Total Wine Place will offer a store credit instead of a refund.
Can I return an Item to Total Wine without the box or original package?
At Total Wine, we want you to be completely happy with your purchase. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return the merchandise to any of our stores within 30 days from the date of purchase with a valid sales receipt.
We will refund the full purchase price to the original form of payment. All returns must be unused and in their original selling condition (including all packaging and accessories). We regret that we are unable to accept returns of merchandise purchased from other retailers.
How will I be refunded by Total Wine?
Total Wine will refund your purchase in the same manner in which you made your original purchase. If you paid by credit card, Total Wine Place will credit your account within five business days. If you paid by check, Total Wine will mail you a refund check within 14 business days.
How Long do Total Wine refunds take?
If you request a return for a refund and your request is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment within 10 business days. You should expect to receive the refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper; however, in many cases, you will receive a refund more quickly.
This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank or credit card issuer to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
Can you return an online purchase to the Total Wine store?
Yes! If you’re not satisfied with an online purchase, you can return it to the Total Wine store within 60 days of the date of purchase. The refund will be processed using the original form and amount of tender.
