Columbia Return Policy
We want you to be fully satisfied with every item that you purchase from us. If you are not satisfied with an item that you have purchased, you may return the item within 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the purchase price, minus the shipping & handling fees ( Return Fee ).
To return an item (excluding sample products), the item must be new, unused, and in its original packaging. You may return your merchandise to any of our retail stores or outlets. We do recommend that you call ahead to confirm that the store or outlet has the particular style and size that you are interested in returning.
Does Columbia Accept Returns Without a Receipt?
In most cases, you can return an item without a receipt if you have the credit card you used to make the purchase, a government-issued ID, or a My Rewards account. If you don’t have any of these things, the store may still be able to process your return if you provide a photo ID.
How Long Do You Have to Return an Item to Columbia?
Columbia wants you to be satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not, we will accept a return of an unused item, with its original tags and packaging within 60 days of the date of purchase.
A return form is included in every shipment. Please use this form when making your return to ensure proper credit is given to your account. If you do not have your form, please include the following information with your return:
- Your name and address
- A daytime phone number where we can reach you
- The Columbia order number (it begins with CO-) associated with your purchase
- A description of the item being returned
- The reason for the return
Does Columbia offer full refunds?
While Columbia does not offer full refunds, we are happy to provide a store credit or exchange for any unworn, unwashed, or unaltered merchandise within 60 days of the order’s ship date. Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.
How long do Columbia refunds take?
Refunds for items returned within 60 days of purchase will be credited back to your original form of payment. If you return an item after 60 days, you will receive a Columbia Gift Card for the purchase price of the item. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
Does Columbia Accept returns through the mail?
Returning your Columbia product is easy. Simply follow the steps below:
- Pack your return items in the original shipping box, if possible, and include all packing materials, manuals, and accessories.
- Include a note that states the following:
- Your name and address
- Daytime phone number
- E-mail address
- Invoice number (from packing slip) or order number (from Columbia.com)
- Reason for return: unsatisfied with the product, did not meet expectations, did not fit, etc.
- Affix the pre-paid, pre-addressed UPS return label to the outside of your package.
If you do not have a pre-paid UPS return label, please contact Customer Service at 1-888-532-4283 to obtain one. Please note that you will be responsible for the cost of shipping if you use your own carrier. Columbia reserves the right to refuse any packages that are shipped using a carrier other than UPS or that arrive “collect.” We do NOT accept COD deliveries
Can I Return an Item to Columbia Without the Box?
We’re sorry, but for hygiene and safety reasons we do not accept any returns without the original box or packaging.
Can I return an online purchase to the store?
Purchases made online through our website may be returned to any of our stores within the United States. Please note that items purchased on our site cannot be returned to the company outlet stores.
To return an item to a store, please bring the item(s) you would like to return, along with your packing slip and/or order confirmation email to any Columbia Sportswear retail store in the U.S. Items must be in their original condition, unused and unwashed with all tags attached.
